GBR Sail GP boat racing

Who we are?

Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team race on the water in SailGP but they also compete off the water in SailGP’s global-first Impact League, which tracks and rewards teams for pioneering social and environmental initiatives.

Why we partnered with kitround

We're working with kitround, to partner with a cross-sport platform that makes reuse simple and scalable, helping normalise kit resale across sport, reach new audiences, and showcase how circular solutions can work beyond a single team or championship.

Our objectives together

We aim to raise awareness of circularity in sport by extending kit life through resale and eliminating waste. All proceeds will help create free-to-use, sport-inspired climate focused education resources via the 1851 Trust, equipping young people with curriculum-linked resources that drive sustainable behaviours.

"At Emirates GBR, we measure success by our achievements both on and off the water. Our goal is to be the most purpose-driven sports team in the world and inspire change that transcends our sport. This ambition underpins everything we do as a team, and last season we made great progress with groundbreaking projects in both sustainability and diversity.”

Ben Ainslie, Team CEO

What's next?

Emirates GBR are working with kitround to elongate the life of valuable kit from the 2025 SailGP Season, the team were a formidable force both on and off the water in the 2025 Season, becoming the first ever team to complete the treble – winning the Season Championship, SailGP’s environmental and social-focused Impact League and topping the season leaderboard on points.
